The South Iceland Wool Week

Every other year the 'Ullarvikan', wool week in Icelandic, takes place in the South of Iceland. A whole week dedicated to the Icelandic sheep and its amazing wool. The organisation has a packed schedule with workshops, lectures, open houses with different farms and shops, a knit-a-long and so many more thing to discover. 

This year the week is held from September 29th to October 5th and the week is perfect for everyone who loves Iceland, knitting, crocheting, spinning, felting or just sheep and getting together with likeminded people. 

What to expect from us?

Because we love the Icelandic sheep and it's amazing wool we are planning a wool-week-tour! You can join us on this trip and get mesmerised by all the beauty Iceland has to offer; the breath taking views, powerful waterfalls, funny sheep and inspirational crafts you'll get to see and try for yourself! 

Let us talk you through some of our plans.

🐏 We are going for a relax-wooly-week and with that vision in mind we would like to welcome you from September 28th to October 5th in the South of Iceland

🐏 Our home for that week will be at HorseExport/Auðsholtshjáleiga. So if you are also into horses you won't show any withdrawal symptoms due to the lack of horses.

🐏 We will attend some interesting workshops, like dyeing wool with plants, spinning your own yarn, felting and designing your own lopapeysa.

🐏 Next to the sheep-stuff we'll go to places like a greenhouse-restaurant, lava tunnels, black beaches, waterfalls, natural hotpots, shops and many more. 

Travel information

This trip has a lot to offer. Here are the details that are included:

🧶 Pick-up (28/09) and drop-off(05/10) at KEF Airport

🧶 7 nights at HorseExport/Auðsholtshjáleiga with breakfast

🧶 Lunch and snack on the road (picnics or restaurants)

🧶 Dinner. Some days we'll have reservations in restaurants and others we will cook for you, depending on the plans.

🧶 All the workshops we will attend

🧶 All the entry fees for other activities

🧶 We will have our own rental-van, all mileage and fuel included

What is not included in this trip? 
✈️  Your flight to and from Iceland
